WHAT IS EPEX?
Energy Prospectors Expo was launched with the vision of inspiring more collaboration within Ontario’s multidimensional energy industry. The core participants in EPEX are the members of Ontario’s oil, natural gas, hydrocarbon storage and salt solution mining industries. The expo seeks to encourage prospects and exploration in existing and new types of ventures.
EPEX delivers on its collaborative vision by presenting speaker panels on subjects relevant to industry activity and a trade show featuring great industry companies and service providers. Show participants are selected to encourage innovation, optimization, adaptation and drive new technology.
EPEX is an opportunity to network with Ontario’s energy industries and explore our energy future.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone interesting in learning about and connecting with opportunities in the oil, natural gas, underground storage, brine and related energy industries. Members of OPI enjoy a reduced conference registration rate. New in 2019 we will have a Welcome to the Industry Reception on April 29th at no charge for anyone interested in meeting and learning about our industry.

Monday April 29: Glacial Geology Tour
Meet in the Lobby of Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn for 8:45 sharp for departure
- Opportunity for geological discussion and mingling with geoscientists
- Examine geology in London’s own backyard:
- What did the last 190 000 years of geology look like and how is it significant to groundwater supply?
- Tour the kettles at Westminster Ponds left by the Wisconsin glaciation
- See exposed glacial till in Medway Creek
- Hike on a significant moraine in Whisperwood Park
- Walk through Sifton Bog, a 50 hectare floating acid peat bog and environmentally significant area
Tuesday April 30: Entertainment and Networking Night

STUDENTS
Join our Student Poster Competition. Show off your thesis or other studies in a poster for your chance to win awards. One OGSR Trust Scholarship ($500 prize) and two OGSR Awards of Merit ($250 prize) are available to be won. Students must register and present the poster in person on April 30th to be eligible, see student poster competition PDF for details.

Students that do not wish to participate in the poster competition can still attend EPEX by registering at a great low rate! All students are encouraged to attend the glacial geology field trip and industry networking evening included with your registration (paid or poster).
